Day 13 & Day 14

(Blogged by Stacey)

Still catching the blog up....

We arrived Las Vegas on Day 12.  We said goodbye to our tour group.  This was bittersweet goodbye because in traveling with the same small group of people for two weeks, you form friendships.  You know when you say goodbye that you will probably not see them ever again.  At least not here in this life.  This was a great group of people to travel with and gave us a taste of a variety of countries.  Andrew (the bus driver) and Daryl (the tour guide) made our trip very enjoyable!  We highly recommend this bus trip by Cosmos (link below) if you ever care to explore the West and the see the places we have visited and wrote about in this blog for the past 12 days.

The next 3 nights we were staying in Las Vegas.  The first night we got a shuttle ticket to ride the strip.  Of course, having the fond memories that I do of Circus Circus Casino and Hotel, I took my two guys straight there.  It hasn't changed much, which is a good thing.

Ben trying to look cool during dinner.  We ate at the Circus Circus Buffet.
He put on John's hat and sunglasses, when John went for another plate of food.

The first night in Las Vegas we stayed at Harrah's Hotel and Casino.  However, the next two nights we stayed at the Monte Carlo Hotel and Casino.  We rented a car for the week to get around Las Vegas, as well as, our road trip in California.  In Las Vegas you'd think we go see a good show?  Well....we didn't.  Our fun was found hunting for the nearest Guitar Center, visiting The Pawn Shop where they film the TV show Pawn Shop, and driving the strip with our Mustang Convertible rental car.  This was more fun than any show!  However, most of our time in Las Vegas was spent just "chillin'" or resting for the next leg of our trip.
Driving on Las Vegas Blvd.  He did a GREAT job with A LOT of traffic!

It took us awhile to find it...but we finally did!

Our cool car for the week!  It really allows us to see EVERYTHING!
A friend of John's suggested this as the only way to travel the West.
