Day 15

(Blogged by Stacey)

Today we left Vegas, well-rested and ready to get out of that town!  This place was way too crowded for our taste.  Let's just say, Benjamin got more of an education that we were hoping for.  Today has been mainly a travel day.  Next main stop...Sequoia National Park in Three Rivers, California.  We traveled 7 hours today and then decided to stop for the night.  We stopped in Visalia, California at a Fairfield Inn.  We believe we are about 45 minutes from the entrance of the Sequoia National Park.  After stopping tonight we took a swim and a dip in the hot tub, had dinner at Dennys and then rested at the hotel.  We plan to get up bright and early and head to see the big sequoia trees.  Today in our travels Ben slept a good portion of the time.  However, we did see a wide variety of interesting sites.  The terrain of the area is constantly changing (notice in the pictures below).  We also saw a lot of citrus both in the field and being transported by truck.  We saw quite a few dairy cows.  We also saw CORN!  Not much of it, but for a little bit we felt back home in Indiana.  We also saw oil wells and LOTS of windmills.  It was a great 7 hour drive!
