Day 2

Today we left Denver bright and early.  Bags had to be packed and sitting outside our hotel door by 6AM.  We ate breakfast and was on the Cosmos Tour Bus by 7:00AM.  The bus is really nice, which is a great thing since we are going to be on it for 13 days of travel.  It's great that the bus has WiFi and electrical outlets.  This helps me to pass the time by "talking" with my friends via Facebook and texting, as well as, playing MineCraft on my computer.  The tour we are on is called National Parks & Canyon Country tour.  There are 27 people in our tour group.  We have a really nice tour guide and bus driver.  The weather today was absolutely PERFECT.  It was in the low 70's most of the day with a beautiful blue sky and a breeze most of the day.  Today we enjoyed seeing the Rocky Mountains, traveled across the vast plains of Wyoming, made a stop at a neat visitor center in Cheyenne, Wyoming, saw the Black Hills of South Dakota and then went on it to Custer County, South Dakota.  Seeing the Crazy Horse Memorial was amazing.  This is a mountain monument that is under construction in the Black Hills, in Custer county, South Dakota.  The construction of this monument started in 1948 and is still quite a ways from completion.  IF and when it is completed, it
is planned to be 641 feet wide and 563 feet high.  This monument, carved out of a mountain, pays respect to a great Native American leader known as Chief Crazy Horse.  All in all...a great "on the go" kind of a day!
